Our Members, Trustees and Advocates work on your behalf to support our family of schools in their quest for continual improvement.  We believe that by working together and always expecting the best, we can actively encourage each child and young person to achieve their potential and to understand that learning is a life-long journey.

Members

 

Julie Barton

Julie has worked at Citizens Advice for 20 years as a service manager and more recently as a supervisor and general adviser. She has got a law degree followed by the Legal Practice Course at College of Law in York. She has worked in East London as a tutor and youth worker. She is a qualified homeopath. Julie has got more than 12 years of governor experience.

Julie is a trustee with the local RDA, a homeless charity as well as the Almshouse Trust.

Dee Freeman

Dee is a qualified teacher and has experience across all age ranges. She is a qualified SENCO and worked both in the primary and secondary sector. She led county training courses on Dyslexia, ASD, Equality legislation. Dee became Head of Specialist teaching. Dee was instrumental in establishing the National SENCO Award program in Lincolnshire.

Rob Lepley

Rob is a retired Senior Civil Servant with 25 years’ service for The Ministry of Defence and NATO. Rob was a qualified PRINCE 2 project manager and completed a Masters’ Programme at Warwick University in Engineering Business Management. Seconded to NATO in 2005, Rob worked on the international Tornado and Typhoon Euro fighter programme as Deputy Financial Controller, before returning to RAF in the UK.

Rob has got more than 20 years of governor experience.

Rachel Pavitt

Rachel has run her own business, spent many years volunteering as an advisor with the Citizens Advice Bureau and is currently the Co-chair of Lincolnshire Wolds RDA. She volunteers with a drama group for young people with additional needs.

Rachel has significant experience in governance.

Richard Richmond

Richard has worked in the insurance industry for the past 42 years. He holds Certificate of the Insurance Institute.

 

Richard has been a governor for two primaries and a secondary school. Currently, Richard is clerk to the Spilsby Grammar School Foundation and administers funding to four primary schools, a primary academy, a secondary academy and students moving on to further education.

Trustees 

 

Simon Argall

Simon is a driven and energetic MBA graduate with 30+ years of experience within Hospitality, Events & Leisure in the areas of sales, operations and investment. He has worked in both private equity & PLC. His operational experience in large commercial organisations allows him to support and question the leadership team of the trust.

Simon Clark

A former Headteacher and now an experienced leader in the Department for Education, Simon has acquired a breadth of leadership experience in his time in schools and central government. He is a specialist in education, leadership, and working with local authorities and other partners to improve provision of SEND and Children's Social Care. 

Sheridan Dodsworth

Sheridan has extensive knowledge of legislation and practice within the area of SEND and significant experience of partnership and multi-disciplinary working, including co-production with parents and carers.

She extended this further through work with the Home Office to support early identification of SEND in refugees that are part of a UK resettlement programme. Sheridan led the development of SEND assessment tools, for the International Office for Migration.

Sheridan has a proven track record of improvement within local government and has led a number of Peer Reviews, across the country.

Jan Hargraves

Having gained a PSHE certificate of professional development from Roehampton University, Janet spent many years improving Relationships and Sex Education in schools. This included supporting schools’ readiness for the introduction of statutory RSHE in 2017.

Jan’s experience in Public Health includes raising standards of Relationships and Sex Education across the Lincolnshire schools. Within Healthy Schools her role was to improve RSHE, alongside enhancing the emotional health and wellbeing of children.

Charlotte McHugh

 

 

Kay Payne

Kay has 20 years of governance experience in SEND schools and residential settings. She has 40 years of work experience in settings such as O&A Centres, Children's Home, Therapeutic Home, Residential Special Schools and CHE. 20 of these years were spent as in Senior Manager roles.

David Rhodes

David is a former National Leader of Governance. He has a wealth of business and financial experience being owner/director of a company in the automotive industry for 40 years.

He has 20 years’ experience in governance and leadership in SEND settings. He has been a Chair in maintained and academy settings.

Lesley Thornes

Lesley is an experienced headteacher and executive headteacher working in schools with high percentage of disadvantaged and SEND pupils.

Through her trustee role, Lesley offers a consistent level of challenge to the school and Trust leaders.
