A MAT is a single legal entity to which all schools belong. We have shared Governance through a strong and ethical Board of Trustees who are ambitious for growth, but in a measured way with partners who share our values and a commitment to deep collaboration.
‘Where will my school be best placed to collaborate and thrive?’
INSPIRE Connected Communities Trust (previously known as Lincolnshire Wolds Community Trust) has been established for 9 years and recently collaborated with another small trust to create INSPIRE. We are a family of specialist schools that work collaboratively for the benefit of our children and young people. Our current schools, four, and a residential currently moving to a children’s home, are based in East and West Lincolnshire. We provide education for children from 2-19 who have a range of complex and special needs. We have seen the great benefits of working together in deep and purposeful collaboration and how it impacts on the futures of our young people. We are committed to collaboration and innovation for the benefit of all of our children, pupils, students and young people.
‘We will aim to meet everyone at their point of need, to enable, empower and inspire individual potential’.
Over the last 9 years we have developed services, systems and processes that enable our Headteachers and school leaders to focus on teaching and learning whilst our Central Team manage all aspects of Health and Safety, HR, IT, Finance and Estates across our Trust. Although our pupil led funding rightly goes to our schools, we are able to use economies of scale and withstand financial challenges through prioritising needs together.
We are committed to wider collaboration for the positive impact on our pupils and students, staff and communities through partnering with mainstream and specialist colleagues, the county council, local teaching school hub and through project delivery. We currently lead the Early Learning and Portage Support Service (ELPSS) across Lincolnshire, lead the workforce development project across the county for schools, practitioners and parents/ careers and also partner other services in strategic leadership such as the Working Together Team.
Our commitment is to people first, be that pupils, students or staff.
Our Trustees and Trust leaders have led our schools towards a level of shared practice that allows colleagues to work in close collaboration across our schools and to have common practices and procedures that we all understand to be robust and effective. However, we continue to encourage each of our schools to have its own unique ethos, culture and feel, remaining conscious of the community they serve. As an established employer, we are able to offer high quality CPD, varied career opportunities and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
